Marble textile includes mainly plain-woven fabrics, along with lawn, poplin, broadcloth, and special materials. The materials available are cotton, polyester, and nylon, and the main items handled are from Uni Textile (Komon Kobo) and HOKKOH.
Because the patterns make use of irregular flows that blend in like stone textures or the surface of water, choose by looking at the color combinations and movement of the pattern. Plain weave changes in appearance from lightweight to heavyweight depending on the yarn, density, and finish. If you want absorbency and a soft feel against the skin, cotton is a good choice; if you want strength, shape retention, and quick-drying performance, polyester is a good choice; if you want lightness and abrasion resistance, nylon is a good guide.
