These enamel cufflinks are what Codis Maya does best. The Scroll cufflinks are designed based on classical French Rococo motifs. An asymmetrical design is created by drawing silver curved patterns incorporating the letters “S” and “C” on the enamel surface. Colored enamel glass crystals are crushed and mixed with water to make a paste. This is then applied precisely to the design mesh before firing at 800 degrees. It is then hand-polished to create a beautiful, smooth, flat surface. This stage of the process is repeated three times and accounts for just 1/12 of the creation of these handcrafted cufflinks. Because it requires advanced skill, they are made by British artisans who specialize in high-precision parts such as jewelry and precision machine components.
The gemstones handled by CODIS MAYA are ethically sourced stones in accordance with CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation.
