Neckerchief, Italian Printed Silk, Komon Pattern, Blue/wine Red

A 14-momme silk neckerchief printed in Como, Italy, one of the world’s renowned silk fabric centers. The smooth, supple feel of the high-quality silk is exceptionally pleasant against the skin. It is a perfect item for a casual yet elegant style, whether paired with a simple knit or with a shirt worn open at the collar. This piece was commissioned from a textile mill founded in 1930—relatively new by Como standards, yet highly regarded for its technical skill and distinctive sensibility. With an extensive design archive, we created an EXCYFORMAL exclusive color from among its archives. The small-pattern design is finished with a strong contrast between the motif and the base color, making it ideal as an accent in your coordination. The quality also shows crisp patterns and vivid colors, a testament to the high-level printing technique. The sewing is hand-rolled by skilled artisans in Japan. The slightly raised stitching visible on the surface, unique to hand hemming, and the irregular finish have a character not found in the machine-stitched edging commonly used for standard neckerchiefs, adding a luxurious feel. Hand-rolled neckerchiefs made by artisans in Japan, whose numbers are decreasing, are truly valuable.
