The material is a cotton pique textile from Alumo, a Swiss luxury shirt fabric maker with over 100 years of history. It is not worn often, but it is an indispensable bow tie for evening formal tailcoats. Bow ties made from synthetic pique-style fabric can sometimes be found on the market, but bow ties made with genuine cotton pique are extremely rare. In addition, because it is hand-tied, its beautiful shape when tied gives off a very classic feel. This is a highly recommended bow tie to wear with a tailcoat.
