The weave
density is extremely high, giving it a very fine, moist texture and a thick, substantial feel.
These are qualities found only in a premium fabric like shironeri.
This is also clearly visible in its appearance, with a refined, elegant sheen that is never gaudy.
A simple bow tie of reliable quality will make you a sophisticated adult.
You can wear it confidently at any formal occasion, from royal events and award ceremonies to society gatherings, receptions, weddings, and concerts.
The shironeri used is woven in a small textile workshop in
Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of Japan’s leading
silk fabric producing areas. Fujiyoshida is a historic production area that began in the Heian period. This land, where spring water from Mt. Fuji flows, has the clean water that is essential for good dyeing.
In the weaving process, Yamamoto’s blended shironeri uses 13,000 warp threads in a width of just 47 cm, and the weft uses 120-
denier yarn double-twisted into an astonishingly thick 240-denier yarn.
By weaving slowly on shuttle looms, the fabric retains air and develops a three-dimensional texture, and skilled artisans constantly inspect it for any defects. Dyeing, yarn-making, warping, and weaving are all carried out by craftsmen under strict quality control, to create the best possible products for our customers.
This is a product we recommend with the greatest confidence and pride.
