Available in four colors—black, wine, brown, and navy—each is an easy-to-match shade. The black bow tie is especially recommended for formal wear; the matte base and the subtle sheen of the satin give it a very refined and stylish look. The material is Nishijin silk jacquard, carefully woven in Kyoto by a long-established mill on traditional low-speed looms. By using the labor-intensive weaving technique of leaving slack in the weft thread, the fabric has a soft fullness and thickness on the surface. Seen from a distance, the black bow tie can also look like a solid black piece, but the understated sheen of the striped sections is very appealing. It is also a fresh and recommended match with a solid black cummerbund or a solid black vest.
