WALDES® Vintage Zipper Antique Gold Size 10 Cotton Tape Two Way Separator

This is a carefully crafted product that faithfully reproduces the manufacturing methods and materials of the time, centered on zippers from the 1930s to 1950s.
Using an extremely old manufacturing method in zipper history, it uses non-ferrous metals such as aluminum (AL), red brass (G), and nickel silver (N) for the element material.
The press-formed elements have a substantial feel, and since they are not plated, they have a unique look that lets you enjoy the aging of the material itself.

About WALDES®
It is a historic zipper brand that actually existed in 1930s America.
We acquired the trademark rights to this brand, which had faded with the times and become free to use, and revived it as a vintage zipper.

1. Faithfully reproduces the manufacturing methods and specifications of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s.
① The tape is woven with 100% cotton yarn on traditional power looms. The weft yarn is firmly beaten in to create a strong tape.
② The cord is made separately by twisting 100% cotton yarn and is carefully sewn onto the tape.
③ The slider, open-end parts, and bottom stop reproduce the shapes and feel of that era.

2. Features of WALDES Zipper
① No plating is applied to the elements. As a result, the zipper changes over time together with leather and denim.
This creates a distinctive vintage feel not found in other brands.
② There are many specification options, such as sliders, open-end parts, and bottom stops, allowing uncompromising accessory selection to match the product.
③ Cotton in particular has a unique texture and feel, and is an environmentally friendly product.
④ The material feel of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s suits modern vintage fashion.
⑤ We support small lots, a wide variety of items, and short lead times.
⑥ Samples can be provided quickly from one piece, and for full production we will respond with a short lead time after consultation with the customer.

3. Notes on the product
① Compared with polyester, cotton tape is inferior in friction resistance, tensile strength, and colorfastness. In addition, depending on the environment and conditions, the product dimensions may shrink.
② The cotton tape has a colorfastness rating of grade 3 or lower. Please note that transfer of color and fading may occur due to processing, washing, friction, sweat, and light.
③ Cotton tape may show slight color variation depending on the dye lot.
④ Due to the shape of the elements, metal zippers may have different slider operation between the top and bottom on two way separator open-end styles and W specifications.
⑤ The AG and BK specifications for the elements are not plated; they are specially processed with chemicals. During sewing, the color of the elements may transfer to the fabric. In addition, the surface may change due to friction or post-processing.
※ Zippers come in various types depending on the application. Please choose the appropriate type by considering the required strength and durability for the item in which it will be used.
We cannot be held responsible for any defects caused by post-processing performed by the customer, so please use the product only after understanding this.
Also, if post-processing is performed, changes or effects may occur in the zipper depending on the processing method, chemicals, dyes, and environment.
