KOGURE BUTTON has been handcrafting each and every button using the same techniques since it was founded in 1952. In addition to the solid buttons made from a single piece of metal used for blazers and other items, the company specializes in change buttons (student buttons, flip buttons) made from two thin metal plates joined together, such as buttons for school uniforms, and its change buttons with more raised engravings are particularly popular with apparel manufacturers.
Please tell me the process, including how to specify the color when dyeing buttons.
・For color specifications, please send us an actual sample of the target item, or provide instructions using a YKK color, lining color number, etc. ・As for delivery time, it will take about 4 days for samples and about 1 week or less for mass production. *This may vary slightly depending on how busy the dyeing factory is.
The process is: after you place your order and provide the color instructions, we will dye the items and deliver them. We will check the color here, but if revisions are needed, please send it back and we will make the corrections.
Would it be possible to request one of each color for the buttons?
We sincerely apologize, but for apparel production, we can accept it if it is for sample use; however, if the quantity is large, we may have to decline.
Is dyeing possible even for shell buttons that are not coated?
Yes, it is possible. However, an additional coating fee and coating lead time will apply. For details, please contact us from the Support page.
Is it possible to laser engrave buttons (add a logo)?
It may be possible depending on the type of button. If you would like a quotation, please contact us from the Support Page with the following details for your logo engraving request: ・button product number ・size ・color ・quantity ・logo data (please send Illustrator, PDF, or other data that shows the logo design) We will contact you with details such as whether it is possible and a quotation.
*Laser engraving cannot be done on nylon, acrylic, or glass materials. Thank you for your understanding.
Can button samples be arranged?
We are sorry, but we cannot provide button samples free of charge. Orders can be placed starting from a minimum of 1 piece, so please place your order from each product page.
How long does delivery take if the buttons are dyed?
It varies depending on the quantity and number of colors, but if it is around 1 to 3 colors, shipment is possible in about one week.
White buttons look yellow. Depending on the size, buttons with the same color number may appear to be different colors.
For polyester materials and similar, if the item is white or a light color, the button color may discolor due to the production lot or aging. If you absolutely need the colors to match, there are methods such as using a dyeable type and dyeing it to match the textile color. However, even after dyeing, the color may still discolor over time, such as after 5 to 10 years.
