Daytime temperatures are already feeling like summer, and we miss those brief, comfortable spring days.

Before the intense heat arrives, we’d like to introduce one of the layered fashion trends: “lingerie-like fashion”!

What is lingerie-like fashion?

A 2025–2026 fashion trend, “lingerie-like fashion” takes lace, satin, and delicate straps—once treated as lingerie or innerwear—and deliberately uses them as visible design elements, incorporating them into everyday wear.

Its roots are also said to lie in 1990s minimal fashion. In particular, British model Kate Moss is known as an iconic figure who established satin, delicate straps, lace trim, and slip dresses as “streetwear, not loungewear.”

Rather than simply going for a sexy look, it is being proposed by a wide range of brands while connecting with sheer materials, mode style, Y2K, and romantic tastes.

Trend coordination: “the layered look”

In current lingerie fashion, the key point is not the “underwear-like” feel itself, but rather the “layered look.”

The mainstream approach is to use it as a sense of ease or layering, rather than excessive exposure. For example, details and styling using mixed materials such as 〈 jacket × lace cami 〉〈 T-shirt × bustier 〉〈 denim × satin 〉〈 sheer top × bralette 〉 are characteristic. In particular, black and smoky colors (in terms of 2026SS trend colors, soft pink, ice blue, citrus yellow, and so on) are increasing, along with matte textures that tone down gloss, and the trend is becoming established across mode, street, and feminine styles.

Recommended lingerie-like items

At the center of the trend are materials and trims that convey delicacy. 

Here, we introduce recommended products such as lace, satin, and sheer textiles.

Lace materials 

These feature delicate patterns and transparency reminiscent of vintage lingerie.

Raschel lace, Leavers lace, and tulle embroidery would all work well.

 Leavers lace (Leavers Lace) What is it?
 Leavers lace is a luxurious, delicate lace made on 19th-century Leavers machines.
 It is a representative classic lace, also used in high-end lingerie made in France and Japan.

Satin materials 

A subtle sheen and drape that feel lingerie-like are popular. Since the trend is “lingerie use < layered use,” rather than functionality such as see through prevention, we are introducing pieces with a relatively lightweight, fluid surface feel.

SLK160 pure silk satin 16 momme

A premium Japanese 16-momme satin silk textile with 45 color variations. This silk satin, recommended for dresses and blouses, is also perfect as an inner layer for compact designs that touch the skin directly.

41117 polyester satin

A slightly lightweight satin made of 100% polyester. It is a standard material known for its gloss and soft hand feel.

52363 Glow Tint Satin

An elegant satin with a wet-look sheen whose color changes depending on the angle, created using bright monofilament yarn in the warp. 

Its plump, resilient texture creates a supple silhouette, making it ideal for longer-length items as well.

KKF2660 acetate melon vintage satin

A sustainable material made with acetate. In addition to visual qualities such as a silky luster, rich color expression, and supple feel, it also offers excellent moisture absorption and quick-drying performance, ensuring comfortable wear at all times.

Dry cleaning is recommended; hand washing is also possible.

KKF7494GS Platinum split-fiber satin airflow 

A satin featuring a smooth drape and a wet-look sheen, made with 20d split fibers in the warp and 75d spun yarn in the weft.

Sheer materials

Sheer materials that create transparency continue to trend. Lightweightness and a sense of movement are popular.

2440 Palette organza 

A basic wide-width polyester organza available in a wide range of more than 190 colors. 

It features moderate firmness and the granular shine on the fabric surface known as a sand effect.

KKF4009-W Soft chambray organza wide width

This chambray organza uses 15d yarns and is characterized by its delicate sheen and transparency. 

With a soft, supple texture and a lightness that feels like it is wrapped in air, it is an elegant sheer item with a touch of firmness.

NN007-SP Air fabric metallic spattering

This fabric is made with a metal spattering process (a process that applies a thin metal film), woven with ultra-fine polyester yarn, and is so light it feels almost as if you are not wearing any fabric at all. 

By layering the metal film at the nano level, it achieves metallic sheen and coloring without changing the texture or weight at all. 

Its delicate appearance and thinness also make it soft to the touch, and this uniquely ultra-thin organza can be used not only for dresses and skirts but also for corsages and more—its possibilities are endless.

SIC-117 Sandwashed organza ribbon

An organza ribbon with a sparkling, delicately shimmering sandwashed weave.

The material is 100% nylon, and the ribbon surface has a textured, grainy feel.

1210 Center satin organza

An organza ribbon that has both the trendy sheen and transparency.

Combining it with satin fabric in the center would also create a design that stands out well.

HW-3036 Organza frill gold lurex stretch tape

A stretch tape with a nylon/polyurethane frill for a feminine impression.

It is also recommended as a design accent for hems and edging.
