This time, as mentioned in the title, we will introduce three of Japan’s major textile manufacturers and a selection of textiles from their 2025 spring/summer collections.

Miyuki Keori Co., Ltd. is a long-established textile manufacturer founded in 1905, and its Yokkaichi factory practices environmentally conscious manufacturing. It emphasizes harmony with nature through careful washing with natural soap, friction washing with washing sticks made from natural wood from Hokkaido, and the use of underground water from the Suzuka mountain range. In addition, management systems are robust through ISO14001 certification and strict environmental audits within the group. Through zero waste, chemical management, reuse of local resources, employee education, and community exchange activities, the company is committed to contributing to a sustainable society.
SOLARO is characterized by beautiful, vibrant colors and a firm texture that looks great when tailored. It is elegant yet can be styled classically.
The Essential Bunch, launched from fall/winter 2024, is a collection for suits. It pursues highly practical manufacturing that meets every need in business settings. It is a business tool that packages trendy color and pattern options across various types, including cool, lightweight materials suited to Japan’s climate, sporty knit materials, and high-quality, durable prestige materials.
GINZA is a collection inspired by Showa-era bespoke tailoring, based on the company’s archives. It features a striking look created with thick-count worsted strong-twist yarn and a dry, highly breathable texture. It is a material recommended not only for coordinated sets, but also as a classic suit fabric.
The collection bunch for set-up and jacket applications, Varietes, pursues the quality best suited to each item through integrated manufacturing with a focus on raw material selection, design, and finishing processes. We developed and edited trendy, functional materials that only wool can achieve, such as designs expressing a natural texture and a refreshing feel.
Kuzuri Keori Kogyo Co., Ltd. was founded in 1912 in Owari Ichinomiya, a town known for textiles, and has continued to use the rare Schonherr loom since the early Showa period, producing suit fabrics that value the soft, rich texture of handwoven cloth. The reason the company remains committed to the now ultra-slow Schonherr loom is to create high-quality fabric that is supple and highly elastic. The company’s trademark, “DOMINX,” derives from a French word meaning “conquest” and expresses confidence in high quality. The weaving process begins with warp preparation and, through steps such as warping, heald threading, reed threading, and weft preparation, is a careful accumulation of handwork that takes about two weeks to finish one roll of fabric. The fusion of tradition and technology is a key attraction of Kuzuri Keori, with features such as the use of 24 harnesses, which makes complex patterns possible, and high-density weaving with a fine reed count.
A textile made by weaving quality raw wool into the warp and 40% kid mohair thread from animals under one year old into the weft. In addition to the smoothness of quality wool and kid mohair, the weft is single yarn, so by inserting 1.2 times as many picks as the warp, it creates firmness and luster.

Kunishima Co., Ltd. is a long-established textile manufacturer based in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, founded in 1850 by Owari samurai Buemon Kunishima. Rooted in Bishu, one of Japan’s leading textile production areas, the company produces high-quality textiles centered on men’s clothing by taking advantage of local strengths such as soft water and a division-of-labor system. Since its founding, it has continued to grow alongside industrial development under the philosophy of “raising national strength through industry,” and it still provides highly precise products under strict quality control. With excellent dimensional stability and sewing ease, it focuses on creating delicate and durable textiles that accurately express a modelist’s intentions. Its corporate philosophy is to support the expression of an ideal lifestyle, and it continues to develop materials that respect tradition while staying close to the needs of the times. Its in-house brand “HERDREX” offers Japanese-made textiles using high-quality wool, while “BEST SELECTION” provides a standard business line, meeting a wide range of customer needs.
[TWILL CHAMBRAY] Twill chambray is a fine-yarn twill material that can be worn across three seasons. By changing the colors of the warp and weft, it expresses a denim-like or solaro (iridescent) look. Its distinctive color creates a unique impression. It uses fine 72-count double yarn in the warp to produce luster, and 48-count single yarn in the weft for a soft finish.
HERDREX is a Japanese textile collection carefully woven and created on the company’s own looms. It focuses on high-quality wool and offers products made using weaving structures, union fabric with other materials, finishing processes, dyeing technology, and more. The rich variety of solid options is sure to satisfy you.
[FANCY WORSTED] Fancy worsted This product combines wool with polyester and nylon. Although it varies depending on the ratio, it has the effect of increasing strength and the benefit of making finer yarns. It also has high wrinkle resistance, but once wrinkles form, they are difficult to remove.
BEST SELECTION is Kunishima’s carefully selected standard line. It focuses on solids and woven patterns suited to business suits. A wide range of colors is available for use regardless of age or gender.
