This is mammy from the ApparelX trend blog.
I visited COSMO TEXTILE COSMO TEXTILE Co., Ltd.'s Spring/Summer 2026 exhibition, which was held at their Tokyo branch in Goroda from May 18th (Monday) to 29th (Friday).
This time, there were many new products, so I'll give you a detailed report on the atmosphere of the exhibition and the products!
COSMO TEXTILE is a textile wholesale company founded in 1936, with its headquarters in Osaka and a textile office in Tokyo, specializing in the planning, manufacturing, and sales of textiles.
The business is divided into Sales Department 2 and Sales Department 3, and the types of textile they handle are quite different.
Both companies share the commonality of primarily dealing in natural fibers such as cotton.
Sales Department 2 sells No pattern, printed, and yarn dyed textile for handicrafts, which are planned and designed in-house, to retail stores and chain stores.
(You're sure to find COSMO TEXTILE's textile at any craft store, whether it's the No pattern Eighty Square fabric used for patchwork or the cute textile used for school supplies for kindergarten and elementary school.)
Sales Department 3 handles textile for apparel, primarily for men's textile, and stocks a wide range of materials, from natural fibers to functional fabrics.

Upon entering, you're greeted by mannequins dressed in office casual attire.
I had the impression that COSMO TEXTILE was mainly known for men's military-style clothing, so I was surprised to see that they also have a wide range of textile for Ladies .
(※We also have a proven track record of using our products with Ladies brands.)
The hanger racks were lined with textile samples and product samples, allowing me to fully appreciate the feel and texture of the textile.
We've already received information about the new product, so I'd like to introduce it in detail.

This textile was used for the pants on the mannequin on the left.
Although it is 100% cotton, it has been treated with silicone impregnation (silicone is impregnated (or coated) into each individual fiber of the textile ), so it has a nice firmness and rollability.
It has a slightly slimy texture, and when you touch it, you can feel its high quality and luxurious feel.
It's wrinkle-resistant and water-repellent, making it the perfect textile for pants and other garments for both men and Ladies .

"High-density poplin" is a very durable plain weave textile woven with extremely high density, originally used as a saddle mat for horseback riding. This particular fabric has been treated with Nidom processing.
I hadn't heard much about Nidom processing, but apparently it's a process that has been passed down through generations in Japan, and there are only a limited number of factories that can do it.
Nidom processing involves kneading and beating the textile in water, and then using enzymes to control the fibril (fiber separation) that occurs during this process.
This process gives the fabric a unique firmness and fluffiness, and because this textile has been peach-finished before the Nidom process, it has a slightly fuzzy, powdery feel and smoothness.

When I first touched it, I thought it might be nylon, but it's actually 100% textile.
The secret is that the textile is heavily heat-treated from the outside, resulting in a flat, smooth texture. It also has a silicone impregnation process that makes it water-repellent.
Because it was lightweight, I thought it would go well with athleisure-style outerwear and bottoms.

This typewriter cloth, while 100% cotton, had a nice, smooth feel to it.
Although typewriter cloth itself is densely woven, modern processing gives it a crisp, firm texture and a clean, refined textile.
It also has the advantage of being wrinkle-resistant and has a crisp texture, making it perfect for shirts and blouses in spring and summer!

This is a high-density, heavy-ounce smallskin yarn with a crisp texture due to its strong twist.
Because it's a 4-way stretch fabric, it has excellent stretchability, but it's not too sporty, making it a great choice for city wear.

The textile has a washed-out , Wash Finish texture and faded look, as if it has been washed many times, giving it a very distinctive feel.
This is highly recommended for items where you want a sophisticated, effortless look.
By drying the fabric in the sun instead of using a dryer, we've created a natural texture.

Apparently, the textile was created by analyzing German military jackets, and it uses white thread inside.
At first glance, it has a denim-like appearance and a substantial, textile feel.
The textile has been treated with a enzyme wash process, which gives it a faded look that you can enjoy.
(※Since the textile has not been pre-washed, please be sure to wash the product before use.)
What did you think?
COSMO TEXTILE offers many textile with a calm , mature feel, but recently, I've noticed a lot more textile with a distinctive look due to post-processing and textile thread .
They also had a wide range of products featuring their signature military-style textile.
We also have other textile listed on ApparelX besides the ones we've introduced here, so please be sure to check them out.
