Hello! I’m Takada from the ApparelX News editorial team. This time, we’re introducing Suncorona Oda, the company famous for organza!
We’ll also share some recommended textiles picked by the manufacturer’s representative, so please read to the end.
Suncorona Oda is a manufacturer that develops and produces synthetic-fiber lightweight textiles for apparel, centered on organza, which holds the No.1 sales share in over 30 countries worldwide.
Promoting the idea that "one yarn can change the future," the company continues to develop original textiles with a strong focus on yarn.
The original materials developed to meet various needs are truly one of a kind. Many products also come in a wide range of colors.
They are widely used in the bridal and formal wear industries, but in fact the company also offers many products for casual apparel!
This time, we quietly asked the manufacturer representative about their recommended products!
They also told us the key points behind their recommendations, which we’ll share here as well.
Air Fabric Color Spattering

Recommended points from the Suncorona representative
This ultra-sheer organza is treated with color spattering processing (a process that applies a thin metallic film), and is characterized by an airy lightness, graceful texture, and transparency.
By layering the metallic film at the nano level, it achieves a mysterious multicolor expression through light interference without changing the texture or weight at all.
The color appears to change depending on how the light hits it, but this is due to light reflection from the metallic film, and no dyeing with pigments is used at all.
It is also woven with ultra-fine 7-denier yarn, giving it an astonishing weight of just 8 g per square meter.
It floats beautifully with even the slightest breeze, making it ideal for stage costumes and spatial decorations! (Flame-retardant label obtained)
Brilliant Satin

Recommended points from the Suncorona representative
This is a basic dress satin with moderate firmness and thickness, and an elegant sheen that gives it a luxurious feel. It is available in a rich variety of colors.
Compared with ordinary satin, it has a more subdued sheen and a matte texture, so it can be used widely not only for dresses and stage costumes but also for general apparel. With so many color variations, it’s also great for fandom activities!
Cuttable Chiffon Knit

Recommended points from the Suncorona representative
This thin warp-knit material has a chiffon-like feel, with moderate sheerness and drape.
Ordinary chiffon materials tend to fray easily and be difficult to handle, but the biggest advantage of this one is that it can be used with raw edges.
Because no hem finishing is needed, it is recommended for garments and dresses that make the most of its lightness.
It also pairs well with pleats and prints, so it is extremely versatile!
This time, we introduced Suncorona Oda’s recommended products.
Since Suncorona handles planning and development in-house, they work on a variety of initiatives, and even when you hear the explanations of the textiles, you can tell they are made with a great deal of thought.
From surprisingly lightweight items to smooth, non-itchy textures, and pieces that appear to shimmer in color depending on the angle, these are products we really want you to see and feel for yourself, so we would be happy if you ordered a sample card and experienced them firsthand!
