Hello.
This is Mammy from the ApparelX trend blog.
This time, we’ll introduce Hoshika, the company that handles the well-known Star brand of bias tape.
Hoshika Co., Ltd. is a bias tape manufacturer celebrating its 70th anniversary since founding and its 35th anniversary since incorporation.
Many of you may have seen its vivid blue sample card.
Star Bias is the bias tape brand developed by Hoshika Co., Ltd.
By keeping enough textile in stock at all times and carrying out integrated production at its domestic in-house factory, Hoshika has achieved both a stable supply and a system for immediate delivery.
Also, by making use of the technical expertise cultivated over many years since its founding,
the company continues to supply high-quality products every day.
Star Bias is used in a wide range of applications, including apparel, uniforms, bedding, miscellaneous goods, and vehicle materials.
It also offers a rich variety of materials for bias tape, including TC broadcloth, cotton broadcloth, reflective tape, synthetic leather (Ramous), faux leather, dechine, and satin.
By cutting fabric on a 45° bias and turning it into tape, it becomes a tape with moderate stretch and suppleness. It is mainly used for finishing seam allowances and edge binding, helping products look beautiful. Even woven fabrics that normally do not stretch gain flexibility when cut on the bias, making them easier to follow curves and the like.
It can also be finished with processes such as folding and piping, allowing products to take on a more fashionable look.
600 T/C Broadcloth Piping Tape

This is TC broadcloth, which boasts one of the top track records among domestic industrial bias tapes.
Made from a cotton-polyester blend, this bias tape is highly versatile.
Since piping cord is inserted inside, it can be used as an accent for outerwear, bags, cushions, and more.
You can also choose the type and thickness of the cord.
5780 Cotton Broadcloth Bias Tape (Double Fold)

A classic bias tape made of 100% cotton with a soft feel.
It comes in a wide range of colors, and there are also processing styles other than double fold.
M-7000 Light Force CF (Cross Fold)

This is reflective tape made with durable polyester as the base fabric.
Because it has a cross-fold finish, both edges are folded in.
It shines brilliantly when used as a line detail on clothing worn at night, improving safety.
10007 Exciting Color Double Fold Tape

We also have bias tape in dazzling neon colors.
There are neon-color cords and stoppers, but there are surprisingly few fluorescent bias tapes.
If you match your bias tape with other trims in neon colors, it is sure to stand out.
L-6400 Suede WF (Double Fold Tape)

Luxurious suede-like synthetic leather.
Its soft touch and ultra-fine microfibers create a smooth feel.
It is very light, breathable, and moderately stretchy.
It can be washed by hand or dry cleaned, and can be used for clothing, interiors, displays, and more.
M-9100 Aurora Color Reflective Tape 4F (Four-Fold Tape)

This reflector is made of four layers: a glass bead layer, an aurora layer, a color layer, and a polyester taffeta layer, and combines the safety of standard reflective materials with the fashion appeal of color-shifting aurora effects.
It is a beautiful bias tape whose color appearance changes depending on how light hits it.
It can be used for a wide range of applications, such as accents on outerwear, bags, and miscellaneous goods.
M-8000 Flame-Retardant Reflective Tape WF (Double Fold Tape)

This reflective material uses flame-retardant woven fabric as the base fabric and is mainly intended for high-visibility safety clothing.
It can be used for standard firefighter uniform designs based on the European standard EN496, and is also used for uniforms that require high reflective brightness.
Star Bias carries a rich selection of bias tape, from standard items to specialty materials.
It is highly recommended for those who want to choose materials carefully, even for piping.
