A ripstop material made with reference to the BDU, the combat utility uniform adopted by the U.S. military in 1981 and used until the Navy ceased its use in 2012. Made of cotton and nylon, it naturally has excellent durability.
It may be well known among military enthusiasts, but this fabric was analyzed from yarn based on the deadstock item commonly called BLACK357, which was produced for only one year in 1997, and you can really feel the strong attention to detail.
