8th Fashion World Tokyo

long time no see. This is Dong.

This week, my buddy Tu and I went to the 8th Fashion World Tokyo held at Big Sight.

I would like to introduce information about the exhibition and my impressions.

What is Fashion World?

Date: October 27th (Tuesday) - October 29th (wood), 2020

Venue: Tokyo Big Sight

Sponsor: Reed Exhibitions Japan Co., Ltd.

Fashion World Tokyo brings together exhibitors from all over the world that handle apparel, bags, shoes, accessories, OEM companies/production factories, and textile, materials, and accessory materials. Not only Japanese companies but also overseas companies exhibited.

Yamamoto ~

This time, Yamamoto Co., Ltd., a group company of Okura Shoji , was once again exhibiting.

The photo below is of Yamamoto's booth.

As a high-end affiliated wholesaler, Yamamoto handles a wide variety of high-quality buttons and linings, and responds to the needs of tailors and specialty store customers, including our own brand of processed interlining.

The booth, as always, had a simple, high-class atmosphere.

thoughts

I went there with the purpose of looking at various textile and greeting the manufacturers.

The textile manufacturers in Japan that exhibited this time mainly sell leather and fur, and there aren't many woven textile manufacturers, so I think there are people who like real fur, but I think that's a bit cruel to me. Well, I didn't take a photo.

As for overseas companies, due to the impact of the coronavirus, staff from overseas companies were unable to go to the locations, so there were many booths where interpreters were in charge instead. When I looked at textile made in Taiwan, I was impressed with their functionality, recycled fibers, and strength in sports. When I had inquiries, they responded online via facetime, wechat, etc. with the help of an interpreter.

I think it's hard to express the feeling of participating in an exhibition unless you see it with your eyes or touch it with your hands, so I'm thinking of recording it and making a Vlog the next time I go to an exhibition.

Thank you until the end.
