Although not a new technology, recycled fibers play a big role in sustainable textiles.
Lyocell (TENCEL™), in particular, is a recycled fiber made from wood pulp, which has a circular cross-section of fibers that are strong and resistant to shrinkage and loss of strength when wet.
Moreover, TENCEL is an ecological fiber because no waste liquid is released into the environment, as the solvent is recovered and reused.
